Whats is Quad Core?

Recently we spoke about quad core phones in my Edesign class and after i came back home i did some research about it. basically quad core means that the processor can run four different operations at once without having to wait for an open core. Right now all the smart phones we use are dual core, and they can run only 2 different operations at a time. The operating speed of all the cores is 2.44GHZ. But quad core does not mean 2.44*4. Think of it like moving to a new place, if you have one truck and have to move 4 loads you have to wait for the truck to come back before you can take the second load. But if you have 4 trucks, you can do it all at once. But the trucks will still be driving at the normal speed, no faster
